MAJOR RENOVATIONS DESIGNED FOR

DORMONT MEMORIAL STADIUM

Significant renovations were design and construction was completed at the Keystone Oaks School District’s Dormont Memorial Stadium.  The improvements provide a new field surface, renovations to the Stadium fieldhouse and bleachers, and major site improvements.

A synthetic, rubber-infilled surface was installed to provide the Stadium field with increased durability and versatility.  In addition, the surface was widened to allow soccer teams to use the facility.

The half century year old home bleachers were refurbished and the press box was replaced.  The renovation of the fieldhouse beneath the bleachers provides modern team locker rooms, public restrooms, and concessions areas.  The visitor bleachers were replaced and relocated to accommodate the wider playing surface.

A number of fan-friendly improvements, including a new entrance plaza and ticket booths, renovated restrooms, new pedestrian circulation paths and a perimeter road with on-site parking were included in the project.  Accessibility issues were addressed throughout the Stadium.

Dormont Memorial Stadium was originally constructed in 1950.  VEB&H Architects has served the Keystone Oaks School District continuously for more than 40 years.  (back)
