MASTER BUILDERS' ASSOCIATION

RECOGNIZES VEBH DESIGNED PROJECT

The VEBH designed addition to the Charles L. & Rose Sweeney Melenyzer Pavilion at Monongahela Valley Hospital has received an Honorable Mention from the Master Builders’ Association in Western Pennsylvania.  The project’s General Contractor, Volpatt Construction Corporation was recognized for successfully addressing the challenges of the project. 

The two-story vertical addition to atop a three-story building was completed on an accelerated schedule while the facility remained fully functional.  The addition contains an expanded Regional Cancer Center and the Hospital’s Central Laboratory.  (more)

FOR LIFECARE HOSPITALS OF PITTSBURGH

COMPLETED AT AGH SUBURBAN CAMPUS

 

Valentour English Bodnar & Howell, Registered Architects designed Lifecare Hospitals of Pittsburgh's new Long-term Acute Care Center.  The new facility occupies 25,000 sq. ft. of leased space within Allegheny General Hospital, Suburban Campus. (more)

 

 

VEBH DESIGNED NEW OUTPATIENT FACILITY

FOR SHARON REGIONAL HEALTH CENTER OPENS

 

Sharon Regional Health System has opened its new Outpatient Diagnostic and Imaging Center to expand its satellite facilities in Hermitage, PA. The new 30,000 sq. ft. building was designed by Valentour English Bodnar & Howell, Registered Architects. (more)

 

 

 

MONONGAHELA VALLEY HOSPITAL

OPENS EXPANDED EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

 

Construction is complete in the multi-phase Emergency Department expansion project at Monongahela Valley Hospital.

 

The design for the expanded Emergency Department doubled the number of treatment / exam rooms to 24 by adding more than 11,000 sq. ft. of space to the Department.  (more)

 

 

PITTSBURGH THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

NAMES NEW RESIDENCE HALL

“CALIAN HALL”

  

The Pittsburgh Theological Seminary's new residence hall has been named to honor its recently retired president, Rev. Dr. Carnegie Samuel Calian.   

 

The 48-room residence hall building was designed by Valentour English Bodnar & Howell, Registered Architects.  It is the first new building completed in three decades on the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary campus and the latest project in client-architect relationship that has lasted more than 20 years. NEW OUTPATIENT DIAGNOSTICS CENTER

DESIGNED FOR ST. CLAIR HOSPITAL 

 

Valentour English Bodnar & Howell, Registered Architects has designed a new Outpatient Diagnostic Center (OPDC) for St. Clair Hospital.

 

The OPDC design includes a comprehensive Imaging Center with CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound and Digital Radiology; Physician Offices; and Occupational and Physical therapy facilities. (more)

 

 

HAMPTON TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY CENTER

OPENS

 

Hampton Township has opened its new Community Center.

 

The project was completed on time and under budget.

 

The new building contains a double gymnasium, various fitness and activity rooms, and space for the community library. A Great Room with seating for 200 offers a more formal space for community events. Separate youth and seniors lounges, a tot watch area, and activity rooms provide spaces for residents of all ages. THE BROWNSON HOUSE AND CITY OF WASHINGTON

OPEN THE VERNON C. NEAL SPORTSPLEX 

 

 The Vernon C. Neal Sportsplex has opened in Washington Park to provide the City of Washington with a multi-purpose indoor recreational facility.  

 

The Sportsplex features a permanent synthetic turf surface within an enclosed 'rink' that accommodates indoor soccer, lacrosse, flag football, and other recreational activities.  Portable floor surfaces will be used seasonally to expand the use of the facility for dek hockey and in-line skating. WAYNESBURG UNIVERSITY

RESIDENCE HALLS COMPLEX RECOGNIZED

AS "OUTSTANDING" BY ASU

 

The new Residence Halls Complex at Waynesburg University has been honored as an “ Outstanding Building ” project and included in American Schools and University’s annual Architectural Portfolio... the premier showcase celebrating the best in educational facility design. MAJOR RENOVATIONS DESIGNED FOR

DORMONT MEMORIAL STADIUM

 

Significant renovations were design and construction was completed at the Keystone Oaks School District’s Dormont Memorial Stadium.  The improvements provide a new field surface, renovations to the Stadium fieldhouse and bleachers, and major site improvements. (more)

  

 

NEW CONNELLSVILLE READINESS

CENTER COMPLETED

 

The Pennsylvania Army National Guard has opened its new multi-purpose Readiness Center in Connellsville, PA. The 23,000 sq. ft. facility contains training, storage and offices spaces. It was designed by Valentour English Bodnar & Howell, Registered Architects. (more)

 

 

POLLOCK HALL IS LATEST SUCCESS IN

RESIDENCE HALL BUILDING PROGRAM

AT WAYNESBURG UNIVERSITY

 

Waynesburg University started the fall 2005 semester with a new residence hall building, the fourth new residence hall facility added to the campus in three years. Pollock Hall, as well as the previous three-building complex, was designed by Valentour English Bodnar & Howell, Registered Architects and is providing modern campus housing for 68 students. (more)
